It has only been about four months since I started blogging and every week I come across a few new (or not so new) interesting Jewish blogs. I have decided to highlight a few of the Jewish blogs which I tend to read most frequently and provide a synopsis of what they are about.
The first blog I am highlighting is Shanna's Mayim Rabim because Shanna was the first Jewish blogger I ever met, and because my readers will probably find this blog interesting and relevant:
Mayim Rabim is an evolving online resource which was put together by Shanna Giora-Gorfajn. The site is intended for people who practice taharat hamishpacha (family purity) or are considering bringing this practice into their lives. It is a forum intended for open communication about issues surrounding the practice of taharat hamishpacha, including frank discussion of sensitive topics and varying approaches to the mitzvah. The contributors all write under pseudonyms due to the sensitive nature of the subject. Topics that have been discussed include: How taharat hamishpacha corresponds to sexual satisfaction, different mikveh experiences and the challenges of keeping these halakhot if one experiences fertility issues.
Thanks! *blush* I invite everyone who is reading this blog to come over, read, and comment!
